Silver, Second period [24 October 1561 to December 1571, contemporary with Third hammered issue], Sixpence, 1567, mm. lis, small bust F, plainer dress, reads hi regi, curly z in elizabeth, 2.90g/8h (Borden/Brown 37, O1/R1; N 2030; S 2599); together with a base metal electrotype of the obv. of a Halfgroat, bust A, taken from the British Museum specimen (Borden/Brown 20, O2 [B26]; Grueber 523) [2]. First counterstamped n in obverse field and with a quatrefoil on reverse, has been creased, otherwise fair, unusual; second much as made £40-50

The vendor’s ticket speculates that the countermarks may relate to Nuremberg
