India General Service 1895-1902, 2 clasps, Punjab Frontier 1897-98, Samana 1897 (5264 Pte. J. Lannon, 2d Bn. Ryl. Ir. Regt.) one or two edge bruises, contact marks, otherwise very fine £80-100

James Lannon was born in Co. Kilkenny and enlisted in the Royal Irish Regiment at Clonmel in November 1894, aged 19 years. In his subsequent career of seven years with the Colours, his only active service was in the Punjab Frontier and Samana operations of 1897-98, and he was discharged as medically unfit at Aldershot in January 1902.
