Three: Private H. Bennett, 46th Foot, later King’s Royal Rifle Corps, who was wounded at the Battle of Inkermann, 5 November 1854

Crimea 1854-56, 4 clasps, Alma, Balaklava, Inkermann, Sebastopol, unofficial rivets between third and fourth clasps, as issued (2767 Private. H. Bennett. 46 Reg.) contemporarily engraved naming; Army L.S. & G.C., V.R., 3rd issue, small letter reverse (2849 H. Bennett 3rd. Bn. 60th. Rifles); Turkish Crimea 1855, Sardinian issue (2767. Pt. H. Bennet. 46th. Rgt.) contemporarily engraved naming, plugged and fitted with an IGS-style suspension, heavy edge bruising, contact marks, nearly very fine or better (3) £500-£700

Henry Bennett attested for the 46th Regiment of Foot and served with them during the Crimean War, where he was wounded in the left arm by a bayonet at the Battle of Inkermann, 5 November 1854. He subsequently transferred to the 3rd Battalion, 60th Foot (King’s Royal Rifle Corps) on 1 September 1868.
