18th (Queen Mary’s Own) Hussars Officer’s Full Dress Pouch and Belt Plus a Gold Lace Girdle c. 1910-1936, fine quality examples, red moroccan covered metal pouch with highly decorated face including large laurel spray scrolls, four battle honour scrolls these on a ground of blue silk, an Imperially crowned oval ‘Queen Mary’s Own’ again on a ground of blue silk, central gold thread ‘XVIII’ on a blue silk ‘H’, below the oval a double motto ‘Pro Rege Conamur & Pro Lege Pro Patria’, the belt of red moroccan faced with gold lace, gilt metal pricker plate, double gilt metal chains and lion’s mask gilt guard, the pricker plate of special regimental pattern, the belt with decorated gilt metal buckle and tip this shows the Imperial crown over the double and reversed cypher ‘GR’ amid laurel sprays; the girdle belt of red moroccan faced with gold lace, double provision for fastening via buckle and double small olivettes, very fine overall condition (2) £500-700
