M.C. London Gazette 26 July 1918:

‘For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. For six days he worked under continuous fire, and during the last two days was the only doctor on the spot attending to the wounded of five different battalions. He was himself suffering from a severe attack of neuritis, but stuck to his work until assistance came. During these six days his personal heroism and abnegation of self were beyond all praise, and owing to his gallant conduct the lives of many were saved.’

Henry Guy Ludolf served in France from 21 November 1915 to February 1917, and from May 1917 to 11 November 1918. He is also entitled to the 1914-15 Star.
