Bernard Fellows Self joined the Baltic and Corn Exchange Unit of the B.R.C.S. as an Orderly and served in France from 10 November 1914. Unusuall he subsequently chose to join a combat infantry regiment, the 8th Battalion, King’s Royal Rifle Corps. He died of wounds on 21 March 1918, and is named on the Pozieres Memorial.
