Private Geoffry Wear, Essex Yeomanry, entered France on 30 November 1914. For his services he was awarded the Russian St. George Cross for Bravery 4th Class. He was discharged to a commission in the Essex Yeomanry on 29 March 1916. Later attached to the 2nd Dragoon Guards and mentioned in despatches. Post-war he lived at Rivers Hall, Baxted, Essex. With copied m.i.c. and other research.
