Army L.S.G.C., V.R., large letter reverse (No. 1043 Private George Seath, 1 Batt. Rifle Brigade) fitted with replacement ring and silver bar suspension, very fine £80-100

George Seath was born at Stetting, near Canterbury, Kent, and attested for the Rifle Brigade at Dover on 17 October 1832. He served overseas in North America, Malta and the Ionian Islands, and at the Cape of Good Hope, and is entitled to the medal for the 2nd and 3rd Kaffir Wars. He was discharged on 17 June 1854, unfit for further service, having been awarded his L.S. & G.C. medal in March of that year. Sold with copy discharge papers.
