Sold with an original copy of 'Experiences of a British Veteran Soldier' by Thomas McKiernan, Colour Sergeant, late 50th (Queen's Own) Regiment; published in South Wales, 1892, 162pp. The book contains a portrait photograph of the recipient and covers his experiences throughout the Crimean campaign and the Maori wars and provides a fascinating insight into a soldiers life in the Victorian Army.
