90 Ashantee 1873-74 Medals awarded to H.M.S. Seagull, all without clasp.

John Thomas Burgess was born in 1856 at Lambeth, Middlesex and entered the Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class in 1871. He attained the rank of Able Seaman in 1874 and transferred to the Coast Guard in 1885. Promoted Commissioned Boatman in 1891, he was Pensioned in 1901. Sold with copied service papers.
