Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, 1 clasp, Gemaizah 1888 (6798 Pte., M.S. Corps.); Jubilee 1897, Metropolitan Police (P.C., T. Divn.); Coronation 1902, Metropolitan Police (P.C., T. Div.); Khedive’s Star, undated; together with the Metropolitan Police Jubilee 1887 medal awarded to his father (P.C. J. Coleman, X. Div.) the first with some pitting and contact wear, therefore good fine, otherwise nearly very fine, the last extremely fine (5) £200-250

Charles William Coleman was born at Pinner, Middlesex, on 16 April 1864. He served in the Medical Staff Corps for 6 years 180 days, being discharged on 23 December 1891. He joined the Metropolitan Police on 19 September 1892 and resigned, medically unfit, on 5 May 1909.

His father, also called Charles William Coleman, was born about 1841. He joined the Metropolitan Police on 10 June 1861, and retired with defective vision and debility on 15 February 1888.
