Pair: 2nd Lieutenant H. C. Evans, Machine Gun Corps, late Royal Warwickshire Regiment

British War and Victory Medals (2 Lieut.), extremely fine (2) £60-80

Harry Charles Evans was killed in action on 23 August 1918, while serving with the 32nd Battalion, Machine Gun Corps (Infantry). He had originally arrived in France as a Sergeant in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment in May 1916 and was commissioned in February 1918. Evans is buried in Heath Cemetery at Harbonnieres.

Sold with three original Great War period postcards from the recipient, one with ink self-portrait.
