Private E. Cannon was born at Arra Castle, Co. Mayo, and enlisted at Wigan on 13 August 1884, aged 18 years. He served with the 2nd Battalion in South Africa.

Private J. Booth was born at Bury and enlisted there on 6 August 1900, aged 17 years. He served in the 5th Battalion from 23 June 1901 until 25 June 1902.
