Henry Lynn Shaw joined the 1st Birmingham Battalion at the outbreak of war and was transferred to the 10th Battalion, Royal Warwickshire Regiment on 13 June 1915. He was killed in action at the capture of La Boiselle on 3 July 1916. He was a member of the Birmingham City Council and senior partner in the firm of Henry Shaw & Sons, nail manufacturers of Birchall Street, Birmingham.
