Robert Malin was born at Hampton-in-Arden, Warwickshire and lived at Sparkhill, Birmingham. He was killed in action in France and Flanders on 23 July 1916 whilst serving with the 14th Battalion, Royal Warwickshire Regiment. He had previously seen service on the North West Frontier, and in South Africa during the Boer War.
