India General Service 1854-95, 1 clasp, Lushai 1889-92 (8149 Pte. J. Cooper, 4/K.R.R.C.) naming correctly engraved in running script but in a slightly later style, contact marks and edge bruising, therefore nearly very fine and scarce £120-150

Private Cooper was on board the Warren Hastings when it was shipwrecked off the coast of Africa and probably lost his original I.G.S. on this occasion. He also served in the Boer War of 1899-1902 and is entitled to the Q.S.A. with clasps for Cape Colony, Relief of Ladysmith and Tugela Heights.
