D.C.M., London Gazette, 28th March, 1918. 8349 C.S.M. E.T. Jones (Pembroke Dock): ‘For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty in action, when he constantly volunteered for dangerous duties under very heavy shell fire with front line, and rendered his company commander invaluable aid in organising the company. He also went out in broad daylight and assisted in carrying in two stretcher cases.’

Awarded for bravery during the battle of Cambrai, November, 1917.
