18th Century, Cheshire, Cheshire, Macclesfield, Pattern Halfpenny, 1789, bee-hive and cypher, rev. Genius holding drill and cog-wheel (DH 9). Usual die flaw through base of reverse legend, otherwise brilliant and as struck, extremely rare and possibly the finest known specimen (£150-180)
