India General Service 1854-95, 1 clasp, Hazara 1888 (372 Pte. F. Boggis, 2d Bn. R. Suss. R.) slight edge bruise, nearly extremely fine £120-160

Frederick Boggis was born in the Parish of St. Luke’s, London. A Labourer by occupation, he attested for the General Service Infantry at Bow Street Police Station on 25 November 1881, aged 19 years, 5 months. With the regiment he served in the Mediterranean, July 1882-January 1885 and India, December 1885-January 1889. Served in the Black Mountain Expedition 1888 for which he was awarded the above medal and clasp. He was transferred to the Army Reserve in February 1889 and discharged on 24 November 1893 having been convicted by the civil power in March 1892. With copied service papers.
