Robert Kiddle was born, lived and enlisted at St. Ives, Huntingdonshire. Originally served in the 5th Battalion Bedford T.F. Serving in the 1/7th (City of London) Battalion London Regiment, he entered France on 18 March 1915. He was killed in action on the first day of the battle of Loos, 25 September 1915, aged 20 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Loos Memorial. Robert Kiddle was the son of Edward and Eleanor O. Kiddle, of River View, St. Ives, Huntingdonshire.
