Private Frederick Thomas Tourt, Lancashire Fusiliers, entered the Balkan theatre of war on 24 August 1915. He was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment on 25 April 1917 and was later advanced to Lieutenant. Before the war he was employed as an Insurance Clerk. Post war his address was at 37 West Parade, Lincoln. Latterly living at 6 Alberta Terrace, Nottingham, he died on 31 March 1941.
His brother, David Henry Tourt, originally served in the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment before joining the Royal Engineers. He was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Engineers on 7 June 1918. Post was his address was at “Clorelly”, Rollston-on-Dove, Nr. Burton. Latterly living at 148 Ashby Road, Burton-on-Trent, he died on 25 November 1953.
