Original dark blue stiff paper, extensively annotated in the hand of Frederick Atkinson with a record of his collection, the second free endpaper with his signature, 1795; a most interesting record of a contemporary collection being acquired at the same time as the tokens were issued, very rare £600-800

Frederick Atkinson seems otherwise unknown as a contemporary token collector, yet from his manuscript notes he seemed well versed in the series and its rarities. It is also evident that he owned contemporary American coins
