Capt William Richard Hamilton (1777-1859), antiquarian and diplomat, patron of Pistrucci and founder member of the Numismatic Society of London; it was he who published the electrotypes of Pistrucci’s Waterloo medal in 1852. Other medals named to Hamilton are known
