16th Regiment of Foot (probably HEIC), a33cm long ram’s hotn decorated with a selection of scrimshaw illustrations wrought by ‘Peter Nangle Serjant 16th Regt’, hunting and camp scenes, a schooner, elephant, palm tree etc., crossed flags being a Union Jack and one inscribed ‘Liberty’, between these the crowned Harp & Maid but with an eagle on top of the crown, the work of reasonable standard, 1800-20, slight ‘fraying’ to the large open end otherwise good condition £60-80
