British Coins featuring the late Ron Hansen Collection

Cantii, Dubnovellaunus, Unit, head, neck and foreleg of three horses in a spiral arrangement, rev. bull right, bird on back, pellet-in-annulet above, 0.78g/12h (ABC 327; BMC –; VA –; S –). Surfaces a little porous, otherwise about very fine, excessively rare, one of only three believed known £800-1,000

The first coin was found in 1992 (BNJ Coin Register 1992 [90]; a second specimen (CCI 03.0868)
was listed by Chris Rudd in January 2004 [15]
