William MacKinnon was born in Linlithgowshire, Scotland, on 23 January 1886. A Carpenter by trade, he enlisted into the 31st Battalion at Edmonton in December 1914, and was killed in action on 7 November 1915 while serving in the same unit. He was buried in the Kemmel Chateau Military Cemetery; sold with copied service and other papers.
