George Alfred Leslie was born in Domville, Ontario, on 11 December 1890. Living at Camrose, Alberta, and a Cheese Maker by occupation, he attested locally for the 151st (Central Alberta) Battalion in February 1916. Arriving in England that October, he was posted to the 9th Battalion and thence to the ‘10th Canadians’ in the Field in August 1918. Awarded the M.M., he was discharged at Kingston, Ontario, in April 1919; sold with copied service papers.
