Leonard Ralph Penney enlisted into the Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment on 3 November 1903. Serving with the 2nd Battalion he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 24 September 1914. He was discharged due to sickness on 19 March 1915. Entitled to a Silver War Badge (not with lot). With copied m.i.c. and roll extract.
