Sigward Charles Wallach, an American, a Blacksmith by trade, living with his wife at 707 Victoria Park, Durban, Natal, enlisted into Kitchener’s Fighting Scouts on 12 January 1901, aged 30 years. The published casualty roll records a ‘Trooper S. Wallach, Kitchener’s Fighting Scouts’ (no service number given) as being severely wounded at Klipkraal, 27 February 1901. With copied service paper, roll extracts and casualty details.
