George Arthur Hill was born in and enlisted at Wolverhampton. Serving with the 7th Battalion South Staffordshire Regiment, he died of wounds, France/Flanders, on 20 May 1918, aged 20 years. He was buried in the Philosophe British Cemetery, Mazingarbe, Pas de Calais, France. He was the son of William Henry and May Ann Hill, of 13 Chillington Terrace, Willenhall Road, Wolverhampton.
