37th Foot Medal 1843, engraved, circular, 54mm. dia., silver, obverse: arms of the Duff family with inscription on riband above; reverse: inscribed, ‘Presented by Sir Alexander Duff, Colonel of the 37th Regiment to John Howard, Bugler, in Testimony of long and meritorious service for upwards of 30 years in that corps’, hallmarks for Edinburgh, with scroll support and straight bar suspension, good very fine £180-220
