18th Century Tokens, Ayrshire, Ayr, William Fullarton, Pattern Sixpence, 1799, in silver, an early restrike by M. Young from dies by J. Milton, bust of the Prince of Wales left, stop before date, no flaw on bust below ear, rev. cruciform shields displayed incorrectly, edge plain, 2.47g/12h (Dykes, BNJ 2002, pp.155-8 and cf. fig. 9; Stainton 31C; ST 298; DH 5 bis III). Spot on obverse rim and on topmost reverse crown, otherwise brilliant and virtually as struck, attractively toned, very rare as a Young issue £300-400
