George Roberts was born in Summerhill, Flintshire, lived in Ruabon, Denbighshire and enlisted at Chester. Serving with the 1st (Welsh Border) Mounted Brigade Field Ambulance, R.A.M.C., he died of typhus in Egypt on 14 February 1918, aged 25 years. He was buried in the Ramleh War Cemetery. He was the son of Richard and Charlotte Roberts of Bryn Coed, Summer Hill, Wrexham.
