Roman Provincial Coinage, Maximinus I and Maximus, Cilicia, Ninica-Claudiopolis, Æ 35, laureate and draped bust of Maximinus I right, countermarks: six-rayed star, rev. bare headed and draped bust of Maximus Cæsar right, countermarks: Nike advancing right within oval incuse and Δ in circle, 16.65g/6h (For coin: Kubitschek, Ninica 30b, same dies; cf. SNG BnF 796-7, same obv. die; cf. SNG Levante 629, same obv. die; for countermarks: Howgego 262 and 669). Very fine, attractive sage-green patina, rare £150-200
