4th Battalion Upper Canada Incorporated Militia Officer’s Epaulettes 1838 - 1843. A fine and rare pair of boxed epaulettes to a Battalion Company officer, silver lace with plated crescents, the straps distinguished with six narrow lines of pale blue thread. The finial buttons are closed back by Jennens London, the raised design shows St. Edward’s crown over capitals IV within oak sprays. Lined with red felt and pink silk and retailed by Fisher & Ponder, Clothiers and Cap Makers, 37, Duke St., St. James’s. Three out of four lace ties are present, the pink silk padded sections slightly distressed otherwise in good overall condition for age (2) £300-500
