John T. Gould enlisted into the Army on 22 January 1914. As a Private in the 1/8th Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers he entered the Balkan theatre of war on 5 May 1915. As a Corporal he was discharged on 4 April 1919 and was awarded the Silver War Badge (not with lot). With copied m.i.c. and roll extracts.
