Victoria (1837-1901), 1884 Pattern, unsigned [by J.E. Boehm], in silver, crowned veiled bust left, rev. cruciform crowned shields, emblems in angles, edge grained, 2.77g/12h (Dyer and Stocker, BNJ 1984, p.284, series A, xi variety; Davies 1144P; ESC 1776; KM. –). An apparently unique variety of Davies 1144 with slightly larger shields and smaller emblems in the angles, practically as struck, deeply and attractively toned £2,000-2,500
