Samuel Webb was born at Chipping Norton and enlisted on 8 October 1847. The musters show he was effective in the period 1 October to 17 December of that year. He was sent to Scutari on 18 December and died there on 30 January 1855. According to Forgotten Heroes - The Charge of the Heavy Brigade, by Roy Dutton, Webb ‘probably rode in the Charge’.
