Private James Arthur, 2nd Battalion Canterbury Regiment, was killed in action on 1 October 1916, aged 30 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Caterpillar Valley Memorial. He was the son of John Arthur of Kirk Wynd, Abernethy, Perthshire, Scotland.

Private Alfred Burton, 2nd Battalion Canterbury Regiment, was killed in action on 12 August 1917, aged 31 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Messines Ridge Memorial.

Serjeant Archer Ernest Mortimore, Canterbury Regiment, was killed in action at Gallipoli, on 13 August 1915, aged 27 years. His name is commemorated on the Chunuk Bair Memorial. He was the son of Henry and Ellen Mortimore of 129 Warbro’ Road, Babbacombe, Torquay, England.

George Harry Turner was born in Tasmania. A Driver with the New Zealand Army Service Corps, he served in Egypt, 1914-15. He died of wounds on 2 June 1916, aged 21 years and was buried in Dunedin (Anderson’s Bay) Cemetery, New Zealand. He was the son of Mr and Mrs Thomas Turner of Ainslie Place, North East Valley, Dunedin.

Private Albert Harold Warner, Canterbury Regiment, died of disease on 20 October 1918, aged 26 years. He was buried in the West Norwood Cemetery.
