China 1857-60, 2 clasps, Taku Forts 1860, Pekin 1860 (Drummr. Rd. Hayes, 67th Regt.) officially impressed naming, suspension refixed, edge bruising, contact marks, good fine £160-200

Richard Hayes was born in Cork. He attested for the 67th Regiment at Cork on 5 September 1846, aged 15 years. As a Drummer he served overseas for over 3 years in Gibraltar, 5 years in the West Indies, 5 years in India and 4 years in China. Hayes was discharged at Dover on 5 June 1871, his trade given as ‘Musician’.
