Indian Army Officer’s Cavalry Helmet Late 19th Century. A very interesting example of white cloth covered cork format and trimmed around the base with a brass band, the band with two small metal roses to the sides; the drooping front peak embellished with a floral metal thread panel, the body with a pleated sewn-in white silk puggri and black metal spike finial to the crown, sweat band present silk lining missing, retailed by Hawkes and Co. London, considerable moth damage to the white cloth but the helmet sound. £200-300
