Henry Albert Pope was born in Whitechapel in 1877. A Cellerman by occupation, he attested for short service with the King’s Royal Rifle Corps on 12 February 1900. With the 1st Special Service Company he served in South Africa, 4 April 1900-8 May 1901. He was discharged on 1 June 1901. Sold with copied service and census details.
