Sejeant Douglas Craig Lowson Monro, Royal Engineers, died on 26 April 1943, aged 24 years. He was buried in the Delhi War Cemetery. Serjeant Monro was the son of George Lowson Monro and Winifred Maud Monro of Bombay, India. With a copied extract from The Times, 9 July 1943, in which the name of Acting Serjeant D. C. L. Monro, R.E. is listed under ‘Previously reported Prisoner of War. Now reported died as Prisoner of War.’
