18th Century, Christ’s Hospital, c. 1790, a silver Marker’s medal by L. Pingo, crowned and hatted bust of Edward VI right, rev. bible open at the pages of Exodus, edge inscribed (Harvey Ludlow, 1842), 35mm (Eimer 66a; MI I, 61/16; E 29; Grimshaw 90). Obverse field heavily scuffed and with the remnants of a scratched inscription in front of the face, otherwise very fine, reverse extremely fine, toned (£40-50)
