Pair: Private H. S. Percy, Royal West Kent Regiment, posted to 20th Battalion London Regiment, died of wounds, 11 September 1918

Harold Stafford Percy was born in Aston Road, Birmingham and enlisted at Worcester. Serving in the Royal West Kent Regiment he was posted to the 1st/20th Battalion London Regiment. With them he died of wounds, 11 September 1918, aged 19 years. He was buried in the St. Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen and commemorated on the Dudley War Memorial. He was the son of Samuel and E. A. Percy of 23 Martin’s Hill, Dudley. Sold with copied extract from The Herald, 21 September 1918 in which he is listed in the ‘Roll of Honour’. Plaque with original (damaged) registered envelope.
