3630 Private John Bergin, Irish Guards, enlisted on 15 November 1910 and entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 21 August 1914. He was discharged on 26 October 1917 and was awarded the Silver War Badge. With copied m.i.c. and roll extract.

6896134 Trooper John Ernest Bergin, 8th King’s Royal Irish Hussars, R.A.C., was the son of John Joseph and Edith Lillian Bergin of Hampstead, London. He was killed/died on 29 August 1941, aged 20 years. He was buried in the Cairo War Memorial Hospital. With condolence slip named in ink to ‘6896134 Tpr. J. E. Bergin’.
