East Lothian Yeomanry Cavalry, a rare other ranks die-stamped brass helmet plate c1855-88, a QVC over the Garter Proper, in the centre a Thistle star and motto enclosing ‘VR’, large thistle sprays in surround at the base, set among further thistle sprays four scrolls ‘East Lothian Yeomanry Cavalry’, the crown reaffixed, original screw posts removed, two soldered loop replacements, facially in good condition £250-300

Note. The East Lothian YC was re-raised in 1846 wearing shakos, changing to a leather helmet c1855, amalgamated to form the Lothians & Berwickshire YC in 1888.
