One Pound (2), both 31 May 1938, M/1 000,001, M/1 001,001, uncut pair, Hird-Wilson signatures, notations ‘Correct as 1st Nos. for 25,000 notes 4.7.38’ across central margin, three punch-holes and bankstamp on back of each (Douglas 41a-3) [2]. Paper remnants across back of top edge, otherwise about extremely fine (£60-80)
