An 1897 pattern infantry officer’s sword ruputedly carried by an assistant commissioner of Metropolitan Police, the 82cm dumbell section blade etched with crowned GVR cypher, foliate scrolls, etc., regulation plated guard incorporating GVR cypher, fish-skin covered grip covered with silver wire, complete with blue and silver sword knot, contained in its plated scabbard, good condition overall £100-120
