Indian Mutiny 1857-59, no clasp (Patk. Mullins, 43rd Lt. Infy.) suspension claw re-soldered, otherwise nearly very fine £180-220
Patrick Mullins was born in Galway and enlisted into the 94th Regiment at Galway on 30 April 1847. He volunteered to join the 43rd Foot at Madras in February 1854. He was discharged to pension in February 1869 after completing 21 years service, including 16 years in the East Indies and 2 years 7 months in New Zealand. He was 39 times a regimental defaulter, usually for drink related offences, and four times tried by Court Martial. Sold with copy discharge papers.
